Goorbo

Goorbo is a construction toy for children. Goorbo pieces can be assembled and connected in many ways enabling children to build their own house with in the house.

Children unlike adults, do not have a space completely of their own, a place where they have the freedom to decide what will happen in it. They live in someone else whose owners – the parents, set the rules. A game that enables children to build their own house gives them the experience of getting to be the one who sets the rules in their own space. Goorbo consists of soft standardized construction pieces that can be connected together easily with a simple male/female joint. Comes with an aiding tool compatible with the joints meant for helping the children build easily. In addition to the building pieces there is extra pieces- storage compartments and hooks that attach on to the side of the joints facing in. can be placed anywhere inside the new house in order to arrange toys and other objects in it.

The inspiration for the building design came from a place of drawing, primal and abstract, speaking of a house from the child imaginative point of view and from there a representation in real life.
